This project is ALL ABOUT DATA CENTERS. According to PJM’s most recent report on electricity demand growth in the Mid-Atlantic, data centers are by far the main reason for the projected increase in demand. Without data centers, PJM’s own modeling shows peak electricity demand would actually SHRINK over the next 20 years. (PJM manages the Mid-Atlantic electricity grid.)
